Holy God,

We wake in the morning but do not feel rested. Where is your peace, O God? Where is our peace?
You sent Jesus to remind us of your love and your promises, and in his steps, we attempt to follow. We pray for courage to face truth and to challenge voices that speak untruth and slander. We submit our spirit to your Holy Spirit, that we may grow strong in love, shown by our generous hospitality, patience, forbearance, gentleness, self-control, joy, and peace.

Yes, peace, even in the depths of our quaking stomachs, touch us there, O great Healer, and grant us rest, Amen.
