Welcome to the UCC's Media Justice Advocacy Arm.
For 50 years, the UCC has been a leader in fighting for a media that is more accountable to local communities — more local, more diverse and more just.
Read here about our national advocacy at the Federal Communications Commission and in the courts, our outreach in the faith community, and keep updated via our newsletter.
OC Inc's amazing history, especially the legacy of our founder, the Rev. Everett C. Parker, is inspiring for anyone working for social justice. Every year in September, we sponsor the annual Everett C. Parker Ethics in Telecommunications Lecture, which is the only lecture in the country to examine telecommunications and the digital age from an ethical perspective. The 2009 Parker Lecture and Reception will be held at 3:30 p.m., September 30, at The Riverside Church in New York City.
Beyond our work nationally, the UCC has helped to establish groundbreaking work in local communities through our Media Empowerment Project.
Please sign up for more information and support us financially to continue this work.
Sincerely,

The Rev. J. Bennett Guess
Executive Director
