Lord, we know you are in control of everything on earth and in Heaven. We know your way is the best way and your path is the best path. We ask you to take our hearts to the place where we seek your will more than our own. To a place where we set aside any selfish motives and choose to do what Jesus taught us. Let us prayerfully search our hearts and minds to vote with our choices aligned with yours. We pray for your strength and compassion to touch the hearts of others as well, so that they may be led to make the best decisions in this election and in the days after the elections are over.
