Faithful God, Giver and Sustainer of all life,

We turn to you in our anxiety and uncertainty about the future, and we lay our burdens down before you. We do so in the hope that wisdom, peace, and justice will guide our nation’s citizens this week, and throughout the coming administration.

By that same hope, remind us that we belong to you and to one another. And by that hope may we be led forward, by the presence of your Holy Spirit.
