Dear Committee on Ministry colleagues,  

In this season of spending time with those we care about, the MESA Team invites you to mark your calendars to spend time with us in 2017 for a series of online Committee on Ministry trainings.  

Seeking to multiply our presence and support for your COM work, and aiming to expand the opportunities for conversation about the drafted Manual on Ministry materials, in 2017 MESA will offer bimonthly trainings online via Zoom.  

A full schedule of these trainings will be posted online in January. Here’s a sneak peek at the first few trainings for your 2017 calendars:  

• “Bridging the Transition between MOMs” on Thursday, January 19 from 7:00pm – 8:30pm Eastern. RSVP to Rachel Hackenberg by Tuesday, January 17 in order to receive the Zoom connection info.
• “The Ministry of Committees on Ministry” on Tuesday, January 31 from 3:30pm – 5:00pm Eastern. RSVP to Holly MillerShank by Friday, January 27.
• “Welcoming Ecumenical Clergy: Dual Standing, Privilege of Call, and More” on Thursday, February 9 from 7:00pm – 8:30pm Eastern. RSVP to Holly MillerShank by Tuesday, February 9.
• “Fitness Tab Training” on Wednesday, February 15 from 3:00pm – 5:00pm Eastern. RSVP to Elizabeth Dilley by Monday, February 13.

 

These topics (and many more) will each be offered multiple times in 2017 to support your COM work. The Zoom platform can accommodate up to 50 individual connections per meeting; participants can connect to MESA’s Zoom trainings either online or by phone. The specific connection details will be emailed to those who RSVP.  

We look forward to seeing you next year – whether online via Zoom and/or in person at the regional AM21s.
