Search begins for next UCC Executive Minister of Justice and Witness Ministries
A search committee formed to call the next Executive Minister of Justice and Witness Ministries of the United Church of Christ is beginning the search process July 1, with the goal of presenting a candidate for election to the UCC Board of Directors at its March 2017 meeting.
In a letter to the wider church, search committee chair the Rev. Darrell Goodwin outlined the process of discernment the eight-member committee will follow according to UCC Bylaws.
The search committee, broadly representative of the denomination, is equally divided by women and men, with five clergy and three lay people. A position description and application are available online.
All interested and qualified applicants are encouraged to apply by the September 30 deadline.
