¹⁵Thus says the Lord: A voice is heard in Ramah,
lamentation and bitter weeping. Rachel is weeping for her children; She refuses to be comforted for her children,
because they are no more.

For those of us…who are Rachel’s offsprings…

who are marginalized,

who are brutalized,

who are demonized,

as Lesbian, Gay, Bi Transgender, and Queer…

as Latin@xs

as People of Color

as Muslims

as Jews

as People of all faiths…or of no faith at all

as Seekers for Justice and Equality

We lift our pain up to you oh God

We lift our anger up to you oh God

We lift up our Hope to you oh God

In the promise of a Loving God…

Who comforts us…Who loves us

For who we are…

As the Prophet Jeremiah calls out:

Then shall the young women rejoice in the dance,
and the young men and the old shall be merry.
I will turn their mourning into joy,
I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow. (31:13)
