Living Psalm 26:1-8 – Pentecost 13A
Living Psalms Book
Psalms in the form of words and art, reborn in the specific contexts of our world, privileging the voices of historically marginalized communities and those acting in solidarity with them.
Living Psalm 26: 1-8
Pentecost 13 A
School with us, O God,
in person and online,
through hybrids and homeschools.
Bless teachers and school boards,
administrators and custodians
with integrity,
in a time of trust and wavering trust.
This autumn is not a time of tests,
but of hearts and minds
trying to love students
and guide education faithfully.
Bless parents in their balancing,
college students in their choices,
kindergartners in their newness.
We wash our hands,
mask our faces, prepare for change,
honor every effort, every decision
which may not be the last one,
pray for safety in the virus,
and give thanks
for all that we can learn,
in school buildings and kitchen tables,
from the earth, your smartboard,
under the skies, your playground.
