Rise up, God!
Disorient your enemies,
God-haters be gone.
Puff them out like smoke,
Melt them like wax near the flame.
Let the unjust be consumed by God’s presence.
But let the doers of Just-Action laugh and be glad,
letting their joy fill the air.
Sing praises to the Holy one, the cloud-rider.
God rests in holiness, a Champion to the widow, a Parent to the orphan.
God places the lonely in families, and sets prisoners free so they might prosper,
But the stubborn roots, God will place in parched lands.
Before your people, You stormed into the wild places,
The whole earth shook, rains came down in floods,
even Sinai quaked in the presence of God,
Yes, The presence of the God of Israel, and the God of the oppressed.
God, you sent renewing rain when your inheritance felt weary,
And from your goodness you supplied the poor.

Sing to God, your governments and kingdoms,
You better praise God.
This Cosmic-Rider, of billion year old galaxies
Listen, God sends out a mighty voice.
Who gives Power? God!
Awesome are you God. More awesome than Quasars. You are super-luminous.
You dwell within and without
and beyond the known and unknown
of space and time.
And you bless your people with fierceness and mighty strength.
