Psalms in the form of words and art, reborn in the specific contexts of our world, privileging the voices of historically marginalized communities and those acting in solidarity with them.
Living Psalm 99: Festival of Transfiguration C
1 Creator is set in the majesty of rivers, trees, oceans, and creatures.
Let the people honor and praise.
The earth groans and surges with the weeping wounds
of extraction, deforestation, and extinction at the hands of men.
Creator weeps and wails with the angels and ancestors!
2 Creator is all life giving and wise.
Love Creator; honor creation.
3 Let the people awaken to your beauty and truth.
Sacred is the he/she/they.
4 Wisdom’s strength, lover of justice, you reveal to us what is possible
and bid us to make that justice and beauty in the earth with you.
5 Sing out loud because creation overflows in you;
worship under the grandeur of trees,
in the mercy of rivers,
at the awe of canyons.
Sacred is the he/she/they!
6 The water protectors hear the voice of Creator,
the songs of the ancestors and see visions of their children’s children,
calling on Creator’s faithfulness.
7 The Sacred spoke to the people who listened,
8 Of life, forgiveness and justice.
9 Sing to honor and praise the Sacred,
in the creation where you are.
