The Rev. Charlotte Gosselink, 86
The Rev. Charlotte Penfield Gosselink, a past moderator of the General Synod of the United Church of Christ, died Dec. 10, 2021. She was 86, and had lived in retirement in Kennett Square, Pa. A full obituary is here.
After an already full career as a teacher in the U.S. and overseas, she was ordained in the UCC in 1991 at age 55, just weeks after serving as moderator of the 18th General Synod. She served as pastor of South Emanuel UCC in Rochester, N.Y., and as an associate conference minister in the New York and Pennsylvania Southeast conferences.
