Living Psalms Book
Psalms in the form of words and art, reborn in the specific contexts of our world, privileging the voices of historically marginalized communities and those acting in solidarity with them.
Epiphany 7
Psalm 37_ 1 – 11, 39 – 40
When we look at people
we see those who seem to prosper
despite their wicked ways
and we cannot help but wonder why
But let us remember that
the Lord is on our side
let us trust in the Lord
and enjoy the Lord
Most of all
let us be still before the Lord
knowing that we will be vindicated
and those who do evil will be no more
Let us not be upset
when things happen
which don’t seem fair
for in the end we will come out on top
Peace will cover the earth
and those who thought to profit
from another’s pain
will be brought low
We will be saved
and more than that
those who lived a wicked life
will be no more
