Global Cleveland Welcoming Week podcast features UCC’s Andrew Long-Higgins
Global Cleveland Welcoming Week is underway and hosting a series of free events to celebrate from now through Sept. 20. This annual, nationally celebrated event series highlights Northeast Ohio’s commitment to inclusivity, diversity, cultural exchange and global citizenship. The United Church of Christ is a sponsor of Welcoming Week, as the National Setting office is located in Cleveland.

You can listen to a special episode of Global Cleveland’s podcast focusing on “welcoming the stranger” featuring Andrew Long-Higgins, Minister and Team Leader of Global H.O.P.E. (Humanitarian Opportunities, Partnerships, Empowerment). The discussion explores the importance of inclusivity and the role of local actions in creating a more welcoming world, as well as the United Church of Christ’s global impact.
Global Cleveland is a non-profit organization dedicated to growing Northeast Ohio’s economy by welcoming and connecting international people to opportunities and fostering a more inviting community for those seeking a place to call home.

Welcoming Week events include a Sister Cities flag dedication celebration, a special naturalization ceremony, and an international job and resource fair.
