Closing Worship
Help us close out General Synod 34 with a meaningful closing worship service.
It will be led by the Rev. JJ Flag, a board member of UCC Disabilities Ministries. He is the Associate Minister for Pastoral Care and Justice at Myers Park Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC. He earned his M.Div in 2018 at Princeton Theological Seminary, and found a home in the UCC, where he was ordained in the Central Atlantic Conference in 2020. In his disabilities work — and as someone who uses a wheelchair — he says he has learned that authentic connection and presence must go beyond cosmetics.
