Divine One and Brother Jesus,
You already know our hearts.
You already know our lamentations.
You already know our anxieties stemming from political uncertainty.
You already know our trepidations fearing for our mothers and sisters and their healthcare; our friends and relatives who struggle to ensure Black Lives Matter; our gay, lesbian, Trans, and questioning relatives and neighbors.
You already know our daily struggle to manage “courage in the justice for peace.”
And yet, you wake us up from our slumber so that we can heed the liberating call of profound grace and universal love.
Thank you
-Joseph Emerson, Yorktown, VA
