Mothering God, Peace means so many different things to people. But to the ones who wear the uniform and carry the weapons, it means everything. The soldier’s prayer for peace is a selfish one – but for good reason. The one who suffers is the one who has to be the defensive force guarding the innocent.

Today, we ask for your guidance and strength, love and assurance, be with the men and women in every nation who are the peacekeepers in uniform. Hold them close when they face fear, give them grace when they fall short, remind them of your power always.

Peace and Shalom.
