Living Psalm 111
Living Psalms Book
Psalms in the form of words and art, reborn in the specific contexts of our world, privileging the voices of historically marginalized communities and those acting in solidarity with them.
Psalm 111_Burgess, for August 18, 2024
Let us move through the remaining summer days
praising the Lord together
Let us view creation with eyes of gratitude
knowing whence it has come
Above and below, let us praise God!
You give us our daily bread, Holy One,
enough for the day and that is all we need
You keep your covenant with us
this day and every day
Above and below, let us praise God!
We know your precepts, O God of power,
and we will follow them
So that all of us may share
in your bounty
Above and below, let us praise God!
If we follow your laws and listen to your words
there will never be too much for some and too little for others
Above and below, let us praise God!
