Living Psalm 148 – Christmas Day C

Praise God beyond limit,
From the top of the highest mountains,
The ranges and ridges that locals call Holy,
Praise God and all that join in Creating,
Praise God all the those who add to the Song,

Praise God sun and moon and glittery stars,
Galaxies and Nebulas and Space Junk too,
Praise God beyond the worlds we know, and build,
Praise God where H2O gathers, anywhere…

Let all that is made call to its Creator,
For the Divine is beyond comprehension,
Larger than words, worlds, or wonder,
God knows the limits. (We do not.)

From our planet, we raise our voices,
Signing with the deep sea fangly fish,
The sea slugs and as-yet-to-be-know creatures,
The bioluminescent depths of awe,

Where weather bends to the will of God
We wander wondering where wildness is,
Touch the Grass. The lichen: the moss, the mushroom.
Let the bugs weave between our fingers.

All humanity, connected in relationship, LISTEN:
Praise God from whom all blessings flow,
Praise God all Creatures here below,
Praise God in spite of human sin,
Praise God with love through kith and kin.

Living Psalm 148, for Christmas Day C, was written by Chris Davies.
