Living Psalm 19
Living Psalms Book
Living Psalm 19_Thompson for Lent 3,
A Psalm for UCC Womyns Week: God’s Glory in ALL Created
by Rev. Dr. Karen Georgia A. Thompson
Like the heavens,
womyn and gender nonbinary people
yell the glory of God.
Bodies beautifully created
as sacred and holy,
lives full of the Spirit of the Divine,
flourish!
None created as less than
none made as marginalized.
Womyn reflect God’s handiwork,
beauty evident in all they are
each day the gender queer
pour forth speech declaring:
We reflect God’s image
see the wonder
hear the wisdom of who we are.
Their speech is unacknowledged,
their voices go unheard.
Yet, their voices are crying
throughout the whole chaotic earth.
Their words carry
heavy cries of lament
borne to the end of the world
on the winds.
They are weeping for justice, for equality,
for transformation, for social change.
She, her, they, them,
created
in the image of God,
God is
she, her, they, them,
God made all created without error
acceptable beyond words, God created all of them.
