Our God is great and worthy to be celebrated!
Let’s throw a party and dance in the streets!
Don’t keep it a secret. Don’t be shy. Brag on God!
Be specific and tell the whole world how good God has been!

God is good but this is not new.
God’s track record speaks for itself.
God’s faithfulness can be trusted.
Just ask our parents and grandparents.
Generations of God’s love have strengthened our ancestors as they crossed oceans,
navigated treacherous terrain, survived plagues, fought the wickedness of injustice,
and faced insurmountable obstacles.
God didn’t abandon them and God won’t forsake us!

If you don’t believe me, just ask the children of Israel.
Toiling under the evil of slavery for hundreds of years
yet God did not forget about them.
God heard their cries for justice;
God always hears our cries for justice.

God heard them and delivered them but they didn’t leave empty-handed.
For God is the God of restorative justice.
God is the God of economic justice.
God is the God of reparations.
God’s deliverance is not simply the absence of bondage but the presence of liberation.
Full and complete liberation.

Cool shade to travel by day, a fiery light to travel by night,
water spilling from a rock to quench their every thirst
and bread from heaven to feed their every hunger.
In the middle of the desert our God provided a supernatural feast
that ensured all of God’s children had plenty.
This is the God we serve.
This is our cause for celebration!
This why we cannot be quiet!
We will never forget!
Praise the Lord!
