Psalm 138 – Epiphany 5C
Living Psalm Book
Psalms in the form of words and art, reborn in the specific contexts of our world, privileging the voices of historically marginalized communities and those acting in solidarity with them.
(can be sung to KREMSER (We Gather Together)
We thank you, O God, for all you have done for us.
We bow down be-fo-re your ho-l-y throne.
We give you our praises, for loving faithfulness
Your na-me be ex-al-ted, above you is none.
I called and you answered, more strength you provided.
For que-ens and ki-ngs, will all call your name.
Your wo-rds bring comfort. Your lo-ve brings protection
The world sings of your gra-ce, your name always praised.
For God is the highest, but stands with the lowest
The proud and the hateful, God turns far away.
When danger is near me, your hand forever guides me
Your purpose to uplift, your glory revealed.
