Psalm 15
Living Psalms Book
Psalms in the form of words and art, reborn in the specific contexts of our world, privileging the voices of historically marginalized communities and those acting in solidarity with them.
Living Psalm 15, Labor Day, Chris Davies
God, who has access to your love?
Who gets to feel belonging?
Is it the rich, who profit off the labor of others?
It’s whomever lives with attention to neighbor,
Speaking what’s real, and honoring the work.
It’s whomever sees the mental load, the home management,
The essential workers, and honors them all (more than just the money,)
Your love in abundance for those who do not seek extraction of labor, of earth;
Instead witness to the people, first, in covenant with creation.
Whomever is attentive to abundance economies, equity of resources,
Whomever lives by these values in their actions as well as their words:
They shall not fail.
